6.30 #13 MIRABILIS made good improvement last time. She is a well bred sort and can shed her maiden tag. 

7.00 #5 QUAIL HOLLOW has not been sighted since the Pune season but he is accustomed to competing in better races than this one and has impressed in a mock race. 

7.30 In form #1 KINGSMAN was a clear winner here last time and has a fantastic chance of following up if in the same form over a slightly reduced trip. His 5kg claim could give him a big advantage.

6.45 #2 ISINIT is doing well off her current rating and perhaps the drop in trip could see her in the winner's enclosure. The 5kg claim helps. 

7.15 #1 POCO AZUL has bolted up on both starts so far this season and he is strongly fancied to complete the hat-trick. Watch betting.

3.45 Lightly raced #2 AUGUSTUS CAESAR drops in grade after a couple of suggestive efforts earlier in the season and he can prove too strong for the opposition. Distance ideal. 

4.15 #6 LORRAINE looked on good terms with herself when scoring here last  start and is taken to follow up to notch a double. While #7 TIMELESS DEEDS amongst the placegetters last start and the real danger in the race. 

4.45 #3 KARIEGA disappointed last time but this full bred to Sakura will relish the mile trip and can go close to winning on this. Strong fancy. 

5.15 #12 TURMERIC TOWER made good improvement last time. She is a well bred sort and may deliver in her third start. 

5.45 #7 TROUVAILLE finished like a train on his latest start to grab second here over 1400m in PBMM last month and the extra furlong looks right up his street. 

6.15 #1 GOLDEN ECLIPSE looks the one to beat dropping in grade and now competing among her own age group. Note the positive switch in rider. While still unexposed #5 NIGHT WATCH looks one that could go on improving, so he's worthy of consideration.

2.15 The vote goes to #1 GANDHARVA as his last run was suggestive and he drops significantly in grade. Distance is ideal and note the positive switch in rider. 

2.45 Ignore her both starts this season #2 NO OPINION drops in grade after a couple of solid efforts earlier in summer and she can prove too strong for the opposition. 

3.15 #7 KIRKWOOD has been running in stronger contests than she encounters on this occasion and is expected to prove too classy for her rivals. Strong fancy. 

3.45 #1 TARINI knuckled down well to score over C&D last time and the 2nd placed horse won since. She does carry a penalty but can win again with ace rider in saddle. #5 RECZAI had his excuses for a poor showing last time and could bounce back over this ideal trip. 

4.15 Bangalore summer 1000G winner #7 PUNJABI GIRL comes back to race at a handicap level and will take the power of beating at this low weights. 

4.45 #1 BLUE MOON has acquitted herself well in graded events and with the step back in trip expected to suit, she is fancied to defy top weight for the stable. 

5.15 #1 SOVIET UNION ran his best race for a while when runner-up last time and he is taken to prove too strong for this opposition. Note the rider switch. 

5.45 #1 INTERESTING is doing well off her current rating and perhaps the drop in trip could see her in the winner's enclosure. While the last-time-out scorer #9 GOLD MIST rates the biggest threat at this handicap.

4.45 #8 SMOKEY HAZE has filled second place on her last couple of starts and she can be supported to go one better this evening with ace rider in saddle.

5.15 #7 KING KHALIL won well after jumping from a wide draw last time out. He has a much better draw today and although he drops to minimum he has a useful 5kg claiming apprentice to assist.

6.30 #2 DANCE EMPEROR has shown early speed in races to date and should run fitter for past attempts, hard to go past running 4kg lighter than last start. #1 KIPLING is the one who will give this a shake with positive switch in saddle. 

7.00 #1 CABELLERO drops in grade after a solid effort earlier this campaign and the lightly raced colt can prove too strong for the opposition. 

7.30 #4 EL COMANDANTE is in the form of his career having won two of his last four starts. Up in grade and should prove too good for this set. 

8.00 Well bred #3 BENEFACTOR just needed his last in a fair field after long lay off. Strips fitter and eased in grade he can resume his winning ways. Keep an eye on #4 CHARLES BRIDGE who strips fitter second  up from the spell. His 5kg claim could give him a big advantage and also gets the blinkers off for this. **( Won his maiden without blinkers)**

12.45 #9 DIVINE GLORY  is improving between runs and should take all of the beating if building on his latest close third-placed effort behind PBMM winner Missing You. 

1.15 Bad race. A chance bet on #2 TOP CONTENDER a long way down in class. While #4 LANCASHIRE is the pick of the remainder.

1.50 #1 AEOLUS arrives here in excellent form and warrants a fair amount of respect in this field. 

2.30 Mumbai challenger and 1400m specialist #5 COSTA BRAVA accounted for a useful rival at Mumbai last start over a mile and he was not disgraced in defeat. A reproduction of that effort should be good enough to win this contest based on his known form over his pet trip. ( He has never lost over 1400m distance.) 

3.05 Classic #7 SERJEANT AT ARMS needs to leave behind his reappearance effort in Mumbai back from the spell. Strips fitter and with that run under his belt he will be a different proposition now. The one to beat. 

3.40 Right from the foot of the weights, it might pay to side with #10 MYSTIC FLAME who ran a forward race in Golconda Derby and  will appreciate a drop in distance. 

4.15 Multi-classic winner #1 DESERT GOD ran as well as can be expected giving so much weight over an inadequate 2000m trip. The champion has a chance to create a history by winning this prestigious race twice as of now the terms of this race slightly suits him. 

5.05 Ignore his last start #12 STRIKING GREY merits strong consideration for his earlier impressive victory over this trip.

12.30 This race is confined to four 4yo’s VALEGRO from western India, TREASURE DELIGHT and AKITA PRO both from Bangalore and the local contender SUPER DART. 

AKITA PRO was an impressive 1400m winner in Bangalore and finished close third to Ciel Etoile over a mile trip in her next start. Has low weights but loses out on handicap against TREASURE DELIGHT who is 2.25l better if compared with common horse Ciel Etoile. Although TREASURE DELIGHT has a run advantage on this track but he beat nothing of note other then C. Etoile in race no 24. SUPER DART is a last start failed favourite and is yet to win a race over this distance, for minor honours. Western India challenger VALEGRO ran a forward race in Indian Derby till 300m before giving up and finished 6th. Now back over his pet trip and the winner of two 1400m races gets my vote in this weekend opener. 

My pick #5 VALEGRO 

1.00 MIDNIGHT DREAM has weights to carry and has a bad draw. Ignore. 

ROLL CALL is half bred to Siobhan and will relish the step up in trip. Is unbeaten so far. 

STORM FLAG was an impressive winner and will run a good race here. 

AGNI ran on strong to finish on the winner's heels last start over same trip. Will try to make amends with top rider repeating.

CONSIGLIORI gets the blinkers for the first time and runs with the hope. 

ICE WARRIOR hammered the field last time out over C&D and would be tough to stop if replicating that level of form here. Is the only C&D winner in this field. 

Bangalore challenger ROMA VICTOR arrives race-fit and on the back of a good win, steps up in distance and local champion rider repeats. 

VICTORY PARADE finished close third behind stablemate Agni last time and will fight out. 

My pick #8 ROMA VICTOR 

Upset #7 ICE WARRIOR 

1.35 All about one horse here. #2 SIYABONGA just missed as a favourite at only start this season, this half sister to Bangalore 1000G winner Proserpine will appreciate the step up over a mile trip and is the one to beat. 

Bangalore contender #9 DUXTON can chase the selection home to pick up silver medal. 

2.15 LA MER. BARACK, VALLEE BLOOMER, MOZAMBIQUE and RUN FOREST RUN are the main contenders in this race. Sparingly raced #5 BARACK from the ace trainer Pesi Shroff’s yard gets the nod. #5 VALLEE BLOOMER could reward forecast backers. 

2.50 THE SPRINTERS’ CUP ( Grade 1) 

Looks a close competitive race between the top four selections. Champion filly RUFFINA who has 2 wins from two attempts this campaign and also last years Sprinters’ cup winner at Kolkata, a leading contender. TUTANKHAMUN a gutsy performer and only just missed last start, finishing a short neck back from the winner Mauritania at Bangalore , among the chances. MAURITANIA 2 wins ( both at 1200m) from three attempts this campaign and rates highly with Scottish pro David Allan retaining the ride, in with a fine chance. SC Jain Sprinters cup winner CAPTAIN COURAGE who made a welcome return to form in absence of Ruffina, although out handicapped but still in this.

3.25 Hard to split the top two picks. BRAINSTORM and ISABELLA. Former being thrice unlucky beaten on the post and will try to make it 4th time lucky. While later left a favourable impression when winning over C&D last time and is the one expected to put up most resistance. Appeals on weights and has age in her favour.

4.00 THE DR. M A M RAMASWAMY STAYERS’ CUP ( Grade 1) 

FABULOUS is slowly coming back in form but doesn’t appeal with this rider.

KAMBAKU is a genuine stayer but lacks form. His last run was very disappointing. 

Byculla Trophy winner RAEES has developed into a formidable stayer and a leading contender. 

REUNION looks the pick of the recent winners and has more to offer over this gruelling trip. 

WATCHMYSCRIPT will be favoured by most for her current good form but doesn’t impress over this trip. 

SACRED ROMAM was not in the league of top 3 in the Indian derby but was not disgraced in defeat. The son of Holy Emperor will certainly stay until cows come home and it will be folly to ignore this 4yo from ace trainer’s yard.
