2.30 Bad race to start a day. My choice is #5 GALINO who strips fitter second up from the spell and will appreciate the step up in trip. Others to note are Show Girl and Track Striker. 

3.00 Santiago and Proudprince both have claims but the preference is for #1 MOHICAN, after his eye-catching debut win here last season and the extra furlong looks right up his street. 

3.30 #2 AIR COMMAND won his maiden impressively over C&D last winter and after his disappointing effort in classics he tops the shortlist for this contest, ahead of Wings Of Desire and War Hero.

4.00 #2 MAURITANIA ended his winter campaign with a victory at Hyderabad in Invitation Cup and the five-year-old can make a winning return to action. He has an impressive record when resuming. Cambridge and Tutankhamun look the pair to concentrate on for minor honours.

4.30 #9 MINERVA ROSE has plenty of early pace and could put this race to bed early if allowed an easy lead. Louisiana edges out Fair Warning to be best of the rest.

5.00 #1 CAMILA showed battling qualities when scoring over a mile trip by half a length last start before the spell and could be the one to side with if returning in the same form. #9 SCARLET PRINCESS would be one to consider if he attracted market support. Duxton and Debonair complete the shortlist.

5.30 Half sister to Apache Sunrise #12 WELL CONNECTED is bred to make an impact first time up and represents top stable. Star And Garter is the other newcomer to note going forward. While Dragon Mountain has the experience but may need this run after being gelded in March.

2.30 The switch to lower company can see SHE’S SUPERB get off the mark this afternoon at the main expense of Premier Premises and Duty Call.

3.00 SIR SUPREMO has made the frame in both previous starts and this appears to be an ideal opportunity for the three-year-old to get off the mark. Southern Ruler and Victorious Sermon (1st run after gelding) are others to consider.

3.30 SONGKRAN has shaped well in last two starts this year before the spell and looks poised to strike here. My Lexicon  can take silver, just ahead of Regal Force. 

4.00 ISN’T SHE LOVELY comes back to race at a handicap level and has four wins from nine starts, runs well when fresh and will take the power of beating. La Rondine could land a share of the pot, while New Moon is another name to look at.

4.30 FOLET AMOUR was third in a better race than this last time and could continue on the upwards trajectory. Hard to beat. Lightly raced Star Appearance is the only danger to the selection. 

5.00 Prodigal and Annalease both merit respect but the preference is for only 3yo TONYS PET, after his victory in a key maiden over C&D last campaign.

5.30 COSMOS displayed enough promise on his late debut to suggest that he can win a race of this nature, although last start winner Mariachi and well placed on scales Desert Angel could give him plenty to think about.

2.30 Jersey Legend sets a good standard on his two efforts to date before gelding and he remains open to significant improvement compared to the opposition, my strong fancy. Debutants Knight Templar and Sea Of Cortez looks the most solid threat, Mega Ikon is best of the remainder.

3.30 Snowdon has two victories from four career starts but failed to win as a favourite last start at Mumbai and likely to race on the speed, can bounce back. Areca Legend was a bit of a let down when favourite last time, but can make amends with top jockey in saddle. Into The Groove coming off a win her only start in winters when fresh, cannot be ruled out. Blue Moon and Castaway also have some form which gives them bits and pieces of chances.

My choice #1 SNOWDON 

4.00 Hard to split the top two picks. Mumbai challenger Gallantry is going the right way after two wins from three career starts, and could prove too strong at the finish. However marginal preference is for Anjeze who is unbeaten in two and can build on her recent success in the Bangalore winter million ( grade 3) to land more top-level glory. 

My choice #3 ANJEZE 

4.30 Alpha will appreciate the drop in both trip and class. Note the rider switch. Tzar has been unreliable of late but is capable of an upset. Armin coming off a win to break maiden last start, cannot be ruled out. Last start placegetters Tarini and Reczai are others to keep an eye on.

5.00 Brainstorm held on gamely over this trip latest but doesn’t appeal conceding weight to youngsters. South Indian Guineas winner Arabia seemingly struggled over a mile trip on the long Mumbai stretch last start and expecting him to bounce back on this track. Hard to beat over 1400m. While Merlot is the pick of the remainder.

My choice #6 ARABIA 

5.30 It’s difficult to be too confident about any of these, but the drop in grade can see Mahanati return to winning ways, possibly at the main expense of Mischief Flyer and Inky Black. While consistent Prince Azeem continues to knock on the door and is likely to be in the shake-up again. 

My choice #2 MAHANATI

2.30 Ignore her last start at mile long trip and in much better company, #6 ANIMAL QUEEN produced  respectable effort to make the impression on debut finishing close 5th last season and could have more to come on her reappearance. She gets the nod over debutant Alberto and Crack Of Dawn who could give her plenty to think about.

3.00 #3 LE MARC was the big eyecatcher when second over C&D before the spell and could go one better. While twice C&D winner #2 EXTREMELYDANGEROUS can upset being a grade dropper and runs well when fresh. 

3.30 Bred in purple #11 AMBROSIO made a highly promising start to his career in the winters and will be hard to beat with improvement on the cards. Appeals on weights. 

4.00 #6 SEA QUEST ran out a clear-cut winner over 6f on his first taste last summer in grade 3 event, but he was left trailing in stakes company last season. The talented son of Uncle Mo makes his first appearance of 2019 but developed into a classy juvenile and is expected to go even higher as a four year old. STRONG FANCY. 

4.30 #7 TENNO SHO would not have to be anything above average to make a winning debut and market support would be interesting but experience can count for a lot in this type of event and #9 ABIRA cannot be ignored. 

5.00 #7 NATALMA finished in the middle of the pack last start when fresh and up in journey, needed a feel of this track. She will enjoy the drop in trip and should be in the firing line. Best value bet. 

5.30 #2 SAHARA finish a neck second in a similar track-and-trip event last time and she is taken to go one better this time with top rider in saddle.
