6.30 #8 KARIEGA has been highly tried in her career in listed events and found Grade 1 company too hot to handle at this track earlier in the season. This looks like a good opportunity to have been found by trainer to get her resume her earlier progress. While progressive #9 RAINBOW TROUT holds the aces on the form book and would be folly to ignore at this handicap. 

7.00 #3 THOMAS HARDY drops in grade after his disappointing show in upper grade but when the five-year-old is on form he is extremely hard to beat. If the selection puts in another poor performance then another class dropper #1 SAFDAR would be the most likely beneficiary. 

7.30 Nicely bred #1 MIKLAYA’S PRIDE performed well when second in class 4 on his latest start and can take full advantage of a drop in class. While #10 NORTHERN SINGER may benefit from the drop in grade and can spring a surprise.

5.00 #2 NICOLLINI showed a fantastic attitude when winning her maiden over a mile here last time and with this step up in trip unlikely to pose any problems, she gets the vote to defy a 5kg rise. 

5.30 #4 ZENON was beaten by Augustus Caesar over this trip earlier in Pune and could feasibly turn the tables on his  reopposing foe now locking horns on  better terms. 

6.00 #5 MOON RIVER would not have to be anything special to land this. The well-bred and half sister to Indian Oaks winner Roberta does not meet any outstanding rivals and may be good enough second time up with stable’s retainer in saddle.

Last twice failed favourite #12 ALL STAR GENERAL is considered the main danger with change in equipment. 

1.10 Right from the foot of the weights, it might pay to side with #11 EXPLOSIVE. Should go the longer trip on pedigree and show up well with positive switch in rider. #7 RENO STAR is a potential danger stepping up in distance. 

1.40 #5 LIGHTNING POWER shaped with an abundance of promise when second over C&D on debut and is entitled to improve with that experience now under his belt.

2.10 #3 KINGSWOOD has won three times at this course as a juvenile including in class 3 but he has been below his best since. This is an easier task than some he has faced, but he does need to put his best foot forward. While another class dropper #8 SEA CASTLE looks to be coming to the boil judging by his C&D fourth last time and can upset. 

2.50 In an open race, marginal preference is for #5 YOURS FOREVER, who has been running well in defeat in his most recent starts and that consistency is encouraging. 

3.25 #6 LOMBARDY left a favourable impression when winning on debut and looked one to keep on the right side of.

3.55 #9 PRINCE VALIANT disappointed over mile last time out as a favourite but will do better back over his pet distance and can gain compensation from low mark. 

#4 HIGHLY ACCLAIMED couldn't hold on and just missed last start. He has the speed to overcome drawing the widest barrier and is dangerous to ignore at this handicap. 

4.30 #2 CONSIGLIORI Won the Mansoon derby grade 1 comfortably and was a gallant runner-up in the 2000 Guineas earlier when the distance was against him. He's right in play now stepping up in trip. 

5.00 C&D winner #6 NOVA SCOTIA was beaten less than a length here last start and he can make amends with better saddle support. Appeals on handicap.

Based on that evidence this four-year-old could take plenty of beating off just 1kg higher in the rating. 

2.00 #6 LABURNUM Showed up well for a long way on seasonal re-appearance at the beginning of this month when weakening in the closing stages; should be fitter and stronger here and one to note.

2.30 #8 LUMINOSITY ran his best race for a while when third over C&D last month and he could enter the reckoning. While got abroad son of Rip Van Winkle, #5 EGALITE respresents a top yard and is an interesting contender on first racecourse appearance. Keep an eye.

4.00 Godspeed filly #4 CALIFORNIA failed to justify favouritism on debut over C&D earlier this month but the experience gained is unlikely to have been lost on her and she could feasibly gain compensation second time out.

4.30 #8 HIDDEN GOLD caught the eye on his return from a break last month and he could be hard to beat this evening especially if Luminosity scores in third. 

5.00 Got abroad fashionably bred filly #9 SEA THE DREAM will definitely relish the mile and a half trip and can give ace trainer his 8th oaks and 6th consecutive. A bigger danger to the selection, however, may be an another got abroad #5 JULIETTE , who has the staying pedigree and will appreciate the derby trip. 

5.30 #1 RUMBA needed her debut run and now drops in grade. She’s open to stacks of improvement against these exposed runners hence a fair chance to oblige.

4.15 #2 BERNARDINI has gone from strength-to-strength and a 21 rps penalty looks unlikely to stop him in a bid for a four-timer as he won with plenty in hand last time and is already a C&D winner. 

4.45 #1 CANDLELIGHTQUEEN scored over C&D last month with Gin Daisy in second spot. The latter has since won last week and is fancied to defy the class penalty and go in again.

2.45 Sparingly raced #3 AFERPI served  notice his turn was fast approaching when picking up silver medal last time out. Third ( Mighty Red) has since franked that form when winning easily next time out. Hence this race could easily fall his way, and he is passed over very reluctantly. 

3.15 #2 ANGELINO quickened clear in good style at this C&D fortnight ago and will be tough to beat if coping with the quick turnaround. 

3.45 #1 INDIAN EMPRESS returned from a 11 month break to complete a double over this trip and could be tough to stop in her bid for a hat-trick with in form apprentice taking a handy 4kg off her back. 

4.15 #1 DESERT GOD ended his summer/mansoon campaign with 3 win out of 4 starts and the 8yo veteran can make a winning return to action.
