My dear friend Vinod Vyas of Deccan Selections rightly mentioned that's it is daylight robbery in Mysore races and I full agree with him. The below article is copy/pasted from his blog and I totally endorse his decision.

Cosmic Touch was seen limping towards the starting gates,on reaching there the jockey asked the VET.to check since the horse was lame.
The VET.in a minute checked and passed the horse fit,and then when the race started in the first 50mtrs.the horse was lame and did not finish the race, finally it was put down.
This VET must be sacked, also the mysore stewards should take the blame for appointing a foolish VET.
This is how mysore racing is conducted. Even the Mysore ZOO is better managed.SACK THIS USELESS VET.
Horse in contention was carrying huge public purse .How can athys allow an unfit horse to race and that too after Jockey raised doubt over its fitness. One must recall that this horse was withdrawn during Invitation weekend in Chennai and trainer was fined for the same ..
As a mark of protest I will not do Mysore races until proof of concrete action emerges from MRC
