If time permits I'll keep posting some valuable principles that work to build your own system for selection process.
Some of the points I consider while selecting 2/3 yo maidens.
1- First preference to fillies upto 1200m. At longer distance (1400m & beyond) colts & geldings better chance.
2- Bloodlines
3- Trainer
4- Jockey
5- Track work ( atleast one sharp workout & one gate practice)
6- Birth date especially during the winter season , the oldest the better.
7- Avoid any 2/3 yo with multiple equipments on debut.
8- If there is only colt in race against geldings and fillies and fulfills any 3 or more above criteria then play it.
** First and second starters are more dangerous among the experienced youngsters who have not won even after 2 or more career starts.
