2.00 Preciously bred got abroad debutant #1 AUGUSTUS CAESER has been well prepared and impressed in mock race. Looks fit and he'll take some beating. 

2.30 #1 SUSSEX PRIDE is in good nick and caught the eye in town last time to suggest the drop to this distance is what he needs. Must respect with Trevor on board. 

3.00 #2 ARASHI did it tough in the run last start and fought on well till late. Easier class here and 3.5kg claim helps. Hard to beat.

3.30 #1 RIQUEWHIR is the only winner in the race and is a clear top pick despite the big weight.

4.00 #3 GAZINO was a strong first-up winner and looks capable to defy penalty and measuring up in this tougher assignment. Strong fancy. 

4.30 #5 CHAPLIN E looks an improver back to something a bit easier with the good jockey on board. Must respect.

Draws to box seat and utilise the cutaway.

5.00 Very highly regarded and beautifully bred filly #7 MERVEILLEUSE from the champion trainer’s yard made up a good ground to finish 3rd over a mile on her debut. Appears to have virtually no chance on official ratings but is expected to relish the trip really very well and in a field lacking strength in depth she looks to have a chance. Not without each-way claims. 

5.30 #2 ARTUS makes her handicap debut and is bred to stay. She can shed her maiden tag in this ordinary set.
