The Pesi Shroff trained 1-2 CAMBRIDGE [3.45]  is unbeaten in two this campaign at this track and has the upside to continue on his winning way. Will appreciate the rise in distance. 

2-3 RUN FOREST RUN [4.15] is the one to beat here after a solid debut 2nd in a million maiden. This is easier and looks hard to beat. 

Still unexposed 3-5 COUNSELLOR [4.45] caught the eye in town last time to suggest the rise to this distance is what he needs. Strong fancy. 

5-3 JÄGER BOMB [5.30] much improved run finishing on the placegetters heels last time out at this track and distance. He is a proven stayer and should be right at his peak. Up in grade and this looks a target race. 

5-5 PIONEER [6.00] is progressing along the right lines and there is more to come. He is the only course and distance winner in this competitive field. Conditioned well , the well bred colt is two from two, including grade 3 event and is the one to beat. 

6-3 TANJO [6.30] comes off outstanding wins at her last two starts here and in both win second placed horses have won since. Hard to go past. 

Was undone by heavy impost last time when hot favourite 7-10 CHAPLIN [7.15] had broken his maiden in fine fashion prior and can bounce back at this low weights. 

7-4 ELYSEE was well backed last start but was given no hope in the run. Well drawn and deserves another chance with rider repeating. 

8-6 SOUTHPAW [7.45] put in a gallant effort last start to go down to a very good winner Checkmate who scored an encore this week. Hard to beat on that form line.

1-5 TURNING POINT [5.00] won impressively when resuming and then put in a good effort when 2nd to Nicholas but was a beaten subsequently and struggled at a mile and a furlong last start, she is better suited by this distance and has age and weight in favour. The one to beat. 

2-4 STEPPENWOLF [5.30] was not disgraced at his first start in a competitive Million race. With natural improvement he can earn his maiden bracket. 

Well bred 3-1 ASTRAL FLARE [6.00] showed speed to lead last time when resuming back from a spell. Drops in class and strips fitter and can break through in this moderate set. Strong fancy. 

4-3 RELENTLESS PURSUIT [6.30] is tracking well and needs to be considered against this set. 

Ignore her last effort 4-5 DIBABA merits attention for her good 4th earlier and gets the positive switch in rider. Don’t discount. 

5-2 CHECKMATE [7.00] comes off a solid win second-up and can make it two straight. Distance ideal. 

6-7 SPARKLING THEA [7.30] has been trying for a while and distance suits. Can strike in this weak set. 

Siding with 7-11 SHE IS A TIGER [8.00] that appears to map ideally sitting just off leaders. Does appear well placed here on best form and does present as the ideal race to break through for much overdue win. 

7-6 KODIAC QUEEN nearly caused an upset in town last start when only just missed. Only needs to hold that form to win this. Don’t ignore.

1-3 SQUARE MOON [2.30] or 1-4 VULCAN any one of the siblings can win. Former is well placed on handicap while later has weight and age in favour. 

2-1 SOLO MISSION [3.00] will be fitter for two runs back from a spell and can strike in this weak set. 

Well bred 2-9 RICARDUS strips fitter second-up from spell and distance suits. Don’t discount. 

3-5 BRAINSTORM [3.30] surprisingly showed a lot of pace last start after coming from well back to win at this distance. Harder here but no doubting the authority in the last win.

4-1 STAR INSPIRATION [4.00] was a comprehensive winner over this course last start. Hard to beat with a repeat effort. 

Full bred to good type Battalion 5-5 SPITFIRE [4.30] ran on well from a long way back on debut. Bound to have been improved by the experience and will surely appreciate the rise in distance. Strong fancy. 

6-4 ADONIJAH [5.00] is racing soundly but finding it hard to win, he just missed when favourite last start and gets a chance to make amends. Distance suits. 

7-6 GLORIANA [5.30] is consistent but finding it hard to get across the line first. Hard to beat now among her own age group. 

8-7 DIXIELAND [6.00] resumes after a lengthy spell but is painstakingly prepared, one to beat. 

8-2 TILL END OF TIME worked home strongly to finish 3rd last start at 1000m. Better from that run and will relish the step up in trip and cannot leave out.

1-5 MASSIMO [4.30] finished his race off nicely when placed last start resuming. Fitter here and the extra distance suits.

Ignore his last start resuming after suffering from colic 2-4 KRAMER [5.00] has come off the short break looking much improved. He has drawn ideal barrier and if he finds his earlier form he is sure to go close to winning this. Strong fancy. 

3-2 CLYMENE [5.30] was a solid winner first-up back from a long spell. Up in grade and should be hard to beat again here with extra fitness. 

4-5 WHITEWALKER [6.00] ran well first-up in the rich The Gool S. Poonawala million (Grade 3) for 3YO race. Drops at suitable trip and need not find much more from that run to take this out. 

5-2 ALYATIES [6.30] was impressive winning this track and distance last start and second horse ( Dolphin) has won since. Can defy the class penalty. 

Big watch is debutant 5-7 STORM STAR who had a good mock race earlier and will give this a shake. 

6-1 HUDSON [7.00] takes a nice drop in class but pays for it at the weights. Has a chance to earn his maiden tag in this weak field 

6-2 SHAKIN STEVENS comes back from the spell and has been working well. Must include in chances even with this rider 

7-5 MAN OF WORD [7.30] has put the writing on the wall with strong showings at his past two starts. Well weighted in this company and gets ace rider onboard. Distance suits and rates highly.

8.00 8-1 MONTECASINO was unlucky not to finish closer over the sprint course here last week. Will relish the rise in distance to prove hard to hold out.

8-10 INSINIT generally races near the speed, could upset.

1.15 #3 SOVIET UNION has been thereabouts in recent starts but has impressed in mock race against good type and this class 3 winner can make full use of the drop in grade. Note the massive switch in rider. 

2.15 #3 PELUCHE was only getting warm when race was over at 1200m trip on his debut run. Will relish the rise in distance and with positive switch in saddle he will be hard to hold out.

2.45 #1 GOLDEN BOW did a good job to finish less than three-lengths from the winner at this track resuming. Drops in grade and distance and rates as one of the key chances fitter second-up from a better gate. 

#10 BRUNESCO dragged the unenthusiastic rider to finish an eye-catching 3rd last time out. He will give this a shake with good apprentice on board. 3kg claim helps. 

3.20 Ignore #10 TORSORO’s last start as he may have needed that run after a long lay off. He was impressive winning this track and distance prior and can back it up in this field. Weight and age in favour. 

3.55 #1 COSTA DEL SOL only just missed last start, finishing a neck back from the winner at Mumbai against good types. He looks to have a class edge on his opposition and will be tough to beat here first-up. 

#10 WATCHMYSCRIPT is racing in consistent form and can't be left out. Appeals on weights. 

4.30 #10 ZENON was prepared to run in the Ruia, yet due to unavoidable circumstances he had his first start in two month in the Indian Derby.

He ran with the pace and even flattered. His lack of race fitness made him buckle, being a prized possession he wasn't unduly pushed by his Jockey.

As it turns out he may have needed the Indian Derby run and now strips fitter. And when the Pesi Shroff stables bring their wards straight to town in such short span you know they have ability. With even luck going forward he will be hard to hold out. 

5.10 #1 STANLEY is resuming and his mock race was strong with same rider, if you ignore his last effort in Mysore he was in good form last preparation at this track and can strike now in this lower class. Watch for support. 

#10 WHY SHOULD I is racing in consistent form and can't be left out.

5.50 #4 CAPO DE CAPI was not disgraced in 2000 Guineas last start after a lengthy lay off. Had broken his maiden in fine fashion on debut in a grade 3 event and can bounce back in this company.

1.45 #4 DAFFODIL looks a likely leader and comes down from group level racing. She takes on the older horses and might be hard to catch. 

#6 GLORIOUS EYES jumps in distance but has solid recent form and could upset these if she runs the trip. Appeals on weights.

2.15 Tricky race to assess with plenty of well bred first starters. 

#5 UNIMAGINABLE is half bred to Masquerads and looked a real talent in a recent trial. We'd be surprised if he is not right in the finish on debut. 

#4 RED INDIAN is a nicely bred colt on debut for a leading trainer. This half bred to multi classic winner TIGER TOPS has been shown an easy mock and should be fighting it out.

2.45 #1 TEMERITY looks formidable.

3.15 #1 CHAPLIN had a good win here last start. Harder here conceding weight and stepping up in distance but still scope of further improvement and can't knock winning form. Rider repeats. 

3.45 #2 AURELIA has hit a purple patch of form winning successive races at Pune and here. Only up 4kg on last win and nothing to suggest she cannot win again.

Would not leave #9 SENSEX out of chances at this feather weight. 

4.15 #10 RUFFINA showed her class by demolishing a good class 1 field at 1400m trip last start. Will surely appreciate the sprint trip and looks to be a strong contender for Sprinters cup next month in Kolkota. Confident selection. 

4.45 #6 EBONY was very good when resuming from a very long spell. She will have plenty of improvement left and with a run under her belly she will be hard to hold out. 

5.15 Last start failed favourite #10 EPIPHANY steps up in grade and looks capable of shedding her maiden tag at this short scurry. 

#3 MALAVIKA just missed when favourite last start in no whip race, the good gate helps and can make amends. Don’t discard.

2.45 #3 DIAMOND RAYS showed speed on debut only to be outmuscled late. With natural improvement and positive change in rider he can go one better. Strong fancy.

3.15 Late debutant #8 DEIMUS improved late to finish 2nd behind the winner last start at 1200m trip. Up in journey and need not find much more from that run to take this out. 

3.45 #4 PURITY looks an improver back to something a bit easier with the good jockey on board. Must respect.

4.15 #2 NOAHS ARK was a strong first-up winner and looks capable of measuring up in this tougher assignment. 

Ignore her last couple of starts since resuming. #10 AUSTRALIS had broken her maiden in fine fashion prior on debut at this track and distance. And with Suraj back in saddle she can bounce back in this company.

4.45 Siver Ikon ran down SIOBHAN here last time they met, the latter meets him better in the weights here and saves her best for when Sandesh jumps on board.

5.15 #5 SHADES OF DESIRE finished close up on debut last start. She gives the impression that this trip will suit and gets the positive rider.

2.30 Nicely bred debutant #4 RUN FOREST RUN has been well prepared and seems to be a prime contender. 

Expect #8 ICONIA to improve here, should be on the speed and with a talented  jockey in saddle, may be best suited to take a sit early. Don’t ignore. 

3.00 #6 CHECKMATE will improve on a sound first-up performance and can break through in this ordinary set.

#1 RIDGEWOOD STAR has been consistent in this class and would not leave out of chances.

3.30 #5 SMASHER was a comprehensive winner over this course last start. Hard to beat with a repeat effort. 

4.15 #3 REDS REVENGE finally broke through for an overdue win last start. Steps in trip and can repeat the dose. Rider repeats.

#7 GOSHAWK hasn't been far away her past two starts and she's bred to get at least this sort of trip. If the blinkers do the trick she's tough to beat. Don’t dismiss. 

4.45 #9 DANCE THE DREAM is the one to keep an eye on making debut. Has impressed in mock race and sure to be well supported. 

5.30 Lightly raced and still unexposed ZENON from ace trainer Pesi Shroff’s yard first caught the eye hitting strong form line in Bangalore summer derby finishing on well fifth behind Manifold ( Indian oaks winner), Castlebridge ( Indian 2000G winner), Olympia Fields and Kangra ( Bangalore oaks winner). 

Since then he has raced only twice and has won both of his starts at a mile and a quarter. He has shown vast improvement with each victory and has been systematically prepared for this race. He is bred to stay and will certainly relish the derby trip and is my personal strong fancy for the Indian derby 2018. 

6.15 #2 GALLIANT KNIGHT has not been far away at recent outings in stronger company, he may appreciate a drop back in distance and is the one to beat with David Allan in saddle. 

6.45 #5 LINCOLN led all the way and won with something in hand last start and he only needs that form to win this.

#12 DOMINATION’s form is hard to fault at this distance and will give this a shake. Appeals on weights. 

6.45 Still unexposed #1 CHERRY BLOSSOM will find this much more suitable than her last run in town and has scope for further improvement. Gets in well after the claim.
